Privacy Policy

In short: we collect what we need to run Patentology for you, we treat your matters as confidential, we don't sell personal information, and we share data only with the service providers that make the Service work.
1. Scope
This policy explains how iMobiMedia LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("iMobiMedia LLC", "we") collects, uses and shares information in connection with the Patentology website and Service. Customer Content you submit for analysis is also governed by our Terms of Service, which treat it as confidential.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, firm, role and authentication credentials (passwords are stored only as salted hashes).
- Customer Content: invention disclosures, claims, office actions and other materials you submit, and the Outputs generated from them.
- Usage and device information: log data such as IP address, browser type, pages and features used, timestamps and error reports, used to secure and operate the Service.
- Communications: messages you send us, including access requests.
The public marketing site does not use advertising trackers.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, secure and support the Service, including generating Outputs you request.
- To authenticate users and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- To communicate with you about your account, the Service and changes to our terms.
- To improve the Service using aggregated or de-identified usage information. We do not use Customer Content to train models offered to other customers without your written consent.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only:
- With service providers acting on our behalf, such as hosting, database and email providers, and, where your workspace enables AI drafting, AI model providers that process content to generate your Outputs under confidentiality and no-training terms;
- With public patent-data services, limited to search terms needed to retrieve prior art (not full disclosures);
- When required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, safety and security of users, the public or iMobiMedia LLC;
- In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy;
- With your direction or consent.
5. Retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, accounting and security purposes. Customer Content is retained while your workspace is active and deleted or returned on request after termination, as described in the Terms, except where retention is required by law. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls that separate each firm's matters, and hashed credentials. No system is perfectly secure; please notify us immediately at VIP@imobimedia.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
7. Your choices and rights
You may access, correct, export or delete your account information, and ask us to delete Customer Content, by contacting us. Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Economic Area and United Kingdom), you may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we hold, to request deletion or correction, to object to or restrict certain processing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity.
8. International users
The Service is operated from the United States and its servers may be located in the United States or other countries. By using the Service you understand that information may be processed in those locations, with safeguards required by applicable law.
9. Children
The Service is for professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes
We will post changes to this policy here and, for material changes, notify account holders before they take effect.
